MFS10 Flow Monitor Switch Product Description
MFM500A Flow Switch is an intelligent thermal diffusion principle-based flow monitoring sensor. It adopts an ARM processing core and combines high-quality sensors and a dedicated circuit. With temperature-compensation and calibration, it can ensure measurement accuracy in the case of water temperature change. It is available for real-time monitoring of pipe water flow. It can be used for cooling or lubrication system flow monitoring to realize pre-warning and protection for critical equipment when there is a flow fault. It uses a fully enclosed design, stainless steel construction to adapt to a variety of application environments. It is with overvoltage, over-current, and reverse polarity protection function. With a self-luminous OLED screen, it allows a switchable display between the progress bar and digital display numbers. MFM500A supports a quick action point set, also it has a display inversion function that enables installation in any direction, and no need for frequent adjustment and maintenance. It can be applied for operation protection of large equipment in fields such as power generation, metallurgy, steel, paper, boilers, etc.

Installation
1. The tip of the sensor must be fully immersed in the fluid. When installing in small diameter pipes, ensure that the tip of the sensor does not contact the pipe’s opposite inner wall。
2 If the fluid does not completely fill the pipe, or if there is a possibility that bubbles can exist at the top of the pipe, the sensor should be installed at the bottom of the pipe.
3. If there is a possibility that sediment can exist at the bottom of the pipe, install the sensor in the side in a level and horizontal position to avoid both air and sediment.
4. For proper accuracy, the sensor should be installed in a straight run of pipe that is at least 4 pipe diameters in length from standard fittings such as elbows and unions and at least 15 pipe diameters in length from control valves and pumps. The ideal location is on a vertical pipe that runs on the inlet side of the pump.
